The actor likened the sad news to the loss of a friend.
“This whole toxic masculinity thing is real,” Terry Crews said to BuzzFeed News.
“People don’t understand that Hollywood is a very violent place,” Terry Crews told BuzzFeed News. “The best way to put it is that it’s like a plantation. … They cut your head off so that the next person doesn’t speak.”

Crews is suing Venit for sexual assault and battery and his employer, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, for maintaining a corporate culture that permitted sexually predatory conduct.
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star on Wednesday identified the man he says groped him at an event last year.
Crews first shared his experience of sexual assault in Hollywood in tweets last month without naming Adam Venit, a talent agent with WME. Venit returned to work this month, following a suspension and demotion at the agency.
