A couple of weeks ago, The Kardashians viewers watched as 11-year-old Penelope Disick put her dad, Scott, on blast for his infamous history of dating younger women.
For some quick context, Scott — who is now 40 — has dated a bunch of women “much younger” than he is over the years since permanently splitting from Penelope’s mom, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, in 2015. Most notably, he started dating Sofia Richie, then 19, while he was 34, and later got into a relationship with then-19-year-old Amelia Hamlin when he was 37.
Previously addressing his pattern of dating younger women, Scott said in 2021, “I don't go out looking for young girls; they happen to be attracted to me 'cause I look young.” He later made it known that his idea of an “age-appropriate” relationship would be with someone in their “upper 20s.”
Well, last month, Scott was called out by his own daughter for repeatedly dating younger women over the years.
When asked what kind of woman she thinks Scott should date next, Penelope bluntly said, “Older.” And then, when Khloé Kardashian suggested “late 20s” as an appropriate age, the 11-year-old hit back: “No! 20s?! You’re 40! You’re not gonna date someone 19.”
Viewers at home labeled Penelope “so mature” and “real” for rightfully reminding Scott that he is 40 and has no business dating 19-year-olds.
And this praise continued this week after it was revealed on The Kardashians that Penelope isn’t the biggest fan of Khloé’s ex Tristan Thompson.
As fans will know, Tristan has recently been welcomed back into the KarJenner clan despite his infamous past infidelity and shocking paternity scandal. In fact, he’s even been defended by members of Khloé’s innermost circle time and again.
This week, however, Kourtney made it known that she feels “triggered” by Tristan because of his “horrible” treatment of Khloé, revealing that she’s been open about her feelings with Penelope.
“I told her the first day of school, I was so triggered by him,” Kourtney divulged after asking Penelope if she was “OK” with Tristan coming over to their house. “I feel like we all brush it off and are fine. And then I was just so triggered. I was like, ‘I just can’t do it anymore,’” she added.
When Tristan showed up, Penelope hardly acknowledged his presence, noticeably remaining straight-faced and refusing to hug him.
This candid reaction, along with her recent comments about Scott’s dating antics, left viewers branding Penelope “mature beyond her years” and “the star of the season.”
“Penelope dislikes Tristan and called out Scott for dating younger women. I know an icon when I see one. She will be a star!” one person tweeted.
“Penelope a real one lol calling her dad out for dating 20 year olds AND triggered by Tristan?? Girls got a good head on her shoulders,” another person echoed.
“I can’t stop thinking about how honest Penelope was about how she feels about Tristan. She doesn’t even fake a smile. She is so real,” someone else wrote.
Fans went on to praise Kourtney and Scott for raising such a “smart” and “switched on” young girl before comparing her with the likes of Kris, Kim, and Khloé's best friend, Malika Haqq — all of whom have defended Tristan in recent weeks.
“Penelope Disick is one of us. Good job Kourtney & Scott,” one person wrote.
