Last August, exes Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson welcomed their second child via surrogate.
Their decision to have another child after their daughter True, who’s about to turn 5, is one that raised many eyebrows among fans in light of Tristan’s repeated infidelity.
For those who need a quick refresher, Khloé and Tristan’s yearslong on-again, off-again relationship began 2016, and they welcomed True a couple of years later.
Just days before True was born in April 2018, Tristan was pictured getting super close with a woman at a bar in New York, and he was later seen entering his hotel with her. Nevertheless, Khloé decided to let Tristan be present in the delivery room when she gave birth.
Over the next few years, Tristan’s infidelity continued to blight their relationship, resulting in many breakups and eventual reunions between him and Khloé.
Fast forward to late 2021. After quietly reuniting and getting engaged, Khloé and Tristan welcomed a second child via surrogate.
However, around the same time, it turned out Tristan had secretly fathered a child with another woman, Maralee Nichols. In fact, fans later learned that Maralee may have become pregnant with their now-1-year-old son, Theo, on the very same night that Khloé threw a lavish birthday party for Tristan and shared a gushing Instagram tribute to him.
Khloé and Tristan parted ways when the news of his secret child was leaked. However, today, it looks like there’s no bad blood between the two.
Last month, Khloé shared another enthusiastic Instagram post about Tristan on his birthday, unveiling the first photos of their little boy whose name she’s still not shared publicly.
“Happy birthday @realtristan13,” she wrote. “You are truly the best father, brother & uncle. Your love, attention, silly dances, hugs, carpool rides, bed time rituals, the way u show up for them. All of the above means more than you’ll ever know to your family of littles.”
“My birthday wish for u is that u continue to crave change, healing, and transformation. Be strong, be kind, be patient, be free. Continue to Make your soul and your mommy proud. Happy birthday baby daddy,” she added.
Khloé’s Instagram post immediately sparked speculation that she and Tristan had gotten back together again.
“Let’s make a bet everyone, she will get back together with trashtin before the end of the year, if she has not already,” read a comment under another one of Khloé’s Instagram posts.
“The post for Tristan is a prelude of her taking him back. She has already taken him back. She's just setting the mood for the reveal,” someone else speculated.
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show this week, Khloé fueled this speculation further as she revealed the first initial of her and Tristan’s baby boy’s name.
Speaking about her little boy with host Jennifer, Khloé confirmed long-running speculation that his name “will start with a T.”
Her revelation is particularly interesting considering the unconfirmed theory that has been circulating among fans for months that his name might be Tristan Jr.

Given Khloé and Tristan were photographed out and about this week too, the state of their relationship is all the more intriguing.
The pair were spotted picking up a bunch of meals at a McDonald’s drive-thru in California, according to TMZ.
As you probably guessed, Khloé and Tristan’s outing has only fueled speculation that they’re back together.
“she’s really never letting go of this man,” one Reddit user wrote. “They are 💯 together,” another guessed.
In spite of all this, Khloé has spent the past few weeks repeatedly insisting that she’s single.
Hinting that she’s simply trying to “confuse people” with a cryptic Instagram story last month, Khloé reposted a quote that read, “Being single and posting love quotes to confuse people is another level of fun.”
Addressing the subject of her relationship status on The Jennifer Hudson Show this week, Khloé once again maintained that she’s totally single.
Well, here’s hoping that we’ll get some answers when Season 3 of The Kardashians premieres on Hulu next month!
