House of Cards is gearing up to premiere its sixth and final season — and the first without Kevin Spacey, following his firing after sexual assault allegations.
In this first teaser-trailer for the season that was released Thursday, viewers got their first in-depth look at what this fictional version of America has in store with Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) as president of the United States.

It was already made clear on the Season 5 finale that Claire was poised to take over from her husband, Frank Underwood (Spacey).
We learned in a short Twitter video earlier this month that Frank’s character was killed off from the series completely following Spacey’s firing.
You should have known.
In this teaser-trailer, which is just over one minute long, Claire is up to her usual antics, strategizing and manipulating everyone as she runs the country.
She seems to be pretending to grieve for Frank — and more than enjoying her time in power.

“The reign of the middle-aged white man is over,” Claire Underwood can be heard saying in the trailer.

And there’s also a quick shot of Claire in the Cabinet Room at the White House with a room full of women.
Did she appoint an all-female Cabinet?

The final season of House of Cards starts streaming on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 2, so we’ll just have to wait until then to find out.
