People Are Looking Back On The Time Kylie Jenner Lied To Avoid Going To Dinner With Kendall Amid The Latest Discourse Around Their Rocky Relationship

“Kylie’s said she would never have been friends with Kendall if they weren’t sisters,” someone pointed out under the resurfaced clip.

Last week, Kylie Jenner got candid about the differences between herself and her elder sister, Kendall Jenner.

Of course, Kendall, 28, and Kylie, 26, are the two youngest members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. And having been thrust into the spotlight at the respective ages of 11 and 9, their ups and downs have long been documented across their family’s E! reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

From Kylie’s nonchalant remarks about how she and Kendall wouldn’t be friends if they weren’t sisters, to their full-fledged physical altercations, things have been pretty rocky between the pair for years.

And so, it didn’t come as a huge surprise last Monday when Kylie opened up about the major differences between herself and Kendall.

During a candid chat with actor Jennifer Lawrence for Interview magazine, Kylie was asked about the differences between herself and Kendall “that are more difficult to navigate.”

“We’re so different between our style and our personality,” said Kylie, who also revealed earlier this year that Kendall is “without a doubt” the sister she has the “least in common” with.

“We both have this strong presence and personality, but that’s not a bad thing,” she added.

Kylie’s remarks wound up sparking a whole load of discourse around her and Kendall’s relationship. And interestingly, it comes months after several TikTok users found themselves reexamining a clip from a 2013 KUWTK episode that saw the pair memorably clash.

In the clip, which recently went viral, Kendall finds out that Kylie has lied to her about her plans in order to avoid going to dinner with her. Elsewhere during the episode, the pair had come to blows over their differences, with Kendall later calling Kylie a “brat.”

“Mom, where’s Kylie?” Kendall asks Kris Jenner in the clip, who replies, “She just left with Stass to go get sushi.” Stass, aka Anastasia Karanikolaou, is the longtime best friend of Kylie.

Kendall looks hurt, and proceeds to tell Kris, “Are you serious? I asked her to go to dinner and she said, ‘No, I’m gonna stay home.’”

“So annoying,” Kendall continues. “She doesn’t care about you, she doesn’t care about me, she doesn’t care about anyone in this family anymore.”

“She only thinks of herself, I can’t deal,” she adds, before storming off completely.

Later on, Khloé Kardashian confronts Kylie and Stass for “alienating” Kendall. However, the pair insist that they “stopped inviting” her to hangouts because she’d always either decline or make everyone “leave early.”

Under the resurfaced clip on TikTok, several users drew attention to Kylie’s 2017 comment that she and Kendall perhaps wouldn’t be friends if they weren’t related.

“Kylie’s said she would never have been friends with Kendall if they weren’t sisters,” the top comment read.

Meanwhile, other users pointed out how sad Kendall seemed when she learned that Kylie had purposefully avoided going out with her. “You can literally see how her whole body just drops in sadness,” one person said, while someone else wrote, “Omg the way she ran up with expectation in her eyes broke my heart.”
