Kim Kardashian has long been open about her fear of aging.
Back in 2017, Kim, now 43, admitted during an interview with the Cut that she worries about aging “every single day.”
“We were having dinner with my mom last night for her birthday. We were talking about [aging],” she told the outlet, referring to her family members. “It’s obviously about the wisdom. There’s a sense of calmness and wisdom you get from life. But it also just sucks.”
“There’s no easy way. [But] I would take aging over not being here,” Kim added.
A couple of years later, Kim quipped that she rarely smiles and laughs in photos due to the fact that doing so “causes wrinkles.”
“See I do smile... even laugh on occasion. Not too often, though, because it causes wrinkles,” she tweeted alongside photos of herself grinning.
What’s more, fans were left surprised earlier this year when seemingly unedited photos of Kim surfaced online and appeared to confirm that she edits her photos to hide any signs of aging.
So, with all this in mind, fans weren’t too surprised this week when Kim noticeably freaked out at her results of the viral TikTok filter that uses AI to predict what you’ll look like in the future.
On Monday, Kim’s close friend and makeup artist Ariel Tejada shared a video trying the TikTok filter out on the Skims mogul.
At first, Kim seems unaware that the TikTok filter is going to age her. However, as soon as she realizes that the filter is altering her appearance, she visibly freaks out and tries to hide from the camera by covering her face with her hand.
Then, Kim hastily flips her hand around to avoid the filter aging it, instead holding her palm up to the camera as she continues to shield her face.
Commenting on the hilarious TikTok, several fans couldn’t help but discuss Kim’s long-running fear of aging.
“You made her fear come true too quick,” one person wrote. “I know she was mortified,” said another, while someone else echoed, “The way she panicked.”
“The hand flip,” one person said. “Her flipping her hand,” another user added.
Meanwhile, multiple users pointed out that from the tiny glimpse of Kim that we were able to see, she bore an uncanny resemblance to her mom, Kris Jenner.
“She just morphed into Kris Jenner,” one person said. “Double of her mum!” said another.
