Sofía Vergara Listed The Exact Cosmetic Procedures She Gets Done After Denying Accusations She’s Had Plastic Surgery

“It’s usually people that are in a bad mood or depressed or jealous,” Sofía said. “I read it and it’s like, ‘She has done so much stuff to herself that she doesn’t even look like her anymore.’”

Sofía Vergara has been a beloved face in the showbiz industry for many years since shooting to fame in ABC’s Modern Family back in 2009. And in that time, it’s not surprising that — like any aging human — she’s started to look different.

In light of this, Sofía — who’s 51 — hasn’t escaped accusations that her changing look is thanks to extensive plastic surgery.

However, she recently decided to set the record straight on all the chatter.

In a new interview with Glamour magazine, Sofía said she typically tries not to read messages speculating about her appearance — although it’s not always possible to fully avoid that type of commentary, especially on social media.

“It’s usually people that are in a bad mood or depressed or jealous,” she said, admitting that she tries to see the funny side of comments about her looks.

“I read it and it’s like, ‘She has done so much stuff to herself that she doesn’t even look like her anymore.’ And I’m thinking, ‘It’s not like you have plastic surgery to look worse than before, come on!’” she joked.

Sofía continued: “I always want to say, ‘No, it’s called aging! It’s called fucking I’m old! That’s why I look different!’”

Despite denying rumors she’s gone under the knife, Sofía didn’t shy away from sharing the different cosmetic procedures she does invest in to keep her looking and feeling her best.

“I do microneedling, little lasers for capillaries because I have rosacea,” she said, adding that she gets “Botox in my eyes and in my neck regularly.”

Interestingly, Sofía made it clear she’s not against plastic surgery, but just doesn't have time for it in her schedule.

“I wish I had downtime from work. I would do a lot more shit,” she said, adding that she sticks to smaller procedures that don’t require her to “sit in [her] house for a month” to recover.

This isn’t the first time Sofía has spoken candidly about aging, recently telling People that she’s struggling to feel “fresh” in her 50s.

“I’ve had a very interesting year,” she told the outlet. “I don’t want to say ‘bad’ or anything like that, but it’s been very interesting and very difficult,” she added, before talking more specifically about her split from Joe Manganiello after seven years of marriage.

“I went through a divorce this year, the SAG strike that went on for so long,” Sofía explained. “I’ve seen my friends struggle — some had to take their kids out of their schools or had problems with their mortgages, so it’s been a weird, weird year.”

Despite a tumultuous 12 months, the actor said she’s looking forward to new beginnings in 2024, but confessed she’s not sure “if there’s such a thing as a fresh start at 51.”

“I don’t know if I’m fresh anymore, but I’m just excited,” she said, before teasing some surprises for the coming months. “I have a lot of projects for next year that hopefully people will love as well.”

Well, after being spotted on a number of dinner dates with a rumored new boyfriend, it seems things are looking up for Sofía already.
