The driver of the train which derailed at high speed, killing at least 80 people in Spain, has been accused by police of 78 counts of criminally negligent manslaughter.
The driver, Francisco José Garzón, may have been distracted and it was too late before he realized the train was going at double the speed limit on a curve.
"I have fucked it up. I want to die," Garzon told his rescuers minutes after he was pulled from the wreckage.
The 52-year-old had allegedly bragged on his Facebook page about pushing the speed limit on a high speed train, according to Spanish media reports.
