Gay Republican presidential candidate Fred Karger will do an interview on conservative Christian radio host Bryan Fischer's show this week. Fischer is notable for his anti-gay rhetoric — as described in a BuzzFeed profile from last month — which was a catalyst for former Romney foreign policy spokesman Richard Grenell leaving the campaign this past spring.

Karger reached out first to Fischer, who responded with a voicemail to Karger's assistant Kevin Miniter saying he would "love to have Mr. Karger on."

"You realize where we're positioned when it comes to pro-family issues and so we'll probably spend some time asking Mr. Karger about how he's oriented towards the homosexual agenda, gay marriage, Don't Ask Don't Tell, some of those issues, homosexual adoption, we'll probably spend some time talking about those issues as well as others," Fischer says in the voicemail.

Fischer told BuzzFeed via email that the two are set to discuss "All gay-agenda, all the time. He knows that's what we're going to talk about, and is hot to trot."

The interview is scheduled for this Thursday.
