Masaken Hanano, a neighborhood in Syria's largest city Aleppo, has been abandoned by humans because of continuous attacks from forces loyal to President Bashar Al-Assad.
A man named Alaa visits everyday to feed the cats who still populate the area.
Alaa, an ambulance driver, said he buys about $4 worth of meat to feed about 150 homeless cats, who roam the area.
Alaa said that he has been feeding and taking care of the cats for more than 2 months.
