Last night Britain's skies went wild with tremendous electrical storms.

Early reports, at around 2.30am suggested that lightning had struck 28,000 times.
28000 lightning strikes in the last 2 hours, and they say UK weather is boring #storm
But by morning, the BBC reported that there had been a whopping 110,000 strikes across the country between 8pm and 8am.
Us Brits are easily impressed by weather, so needless to say, this storm blew our minds.

A massive downpour of rain accompanied the awe-inspiring flashes of lightning.
As weather goes, it was pretty metal \m/.
Storms have been brewing all week, and last night's beast saw the climax of this run of tumultuous weather.
Unsurprisingly, the noisy weather woke many people up.
Well that's one way to be jolted awake... A wee thunder and lightening storm ☁️⚡️
