This Egyptian Woman Has Been Arrested For "Inciting Debauchery" Over Her YouTube Parody

The prosecutor has accused the video of "disrupting morality."

A woman in Egypt has been arrested and authorities are searching for her boyfriend after a mock music video was uploaded to YouTube.

In the video, which has gone viral, Elsedecki raps “Sib Edi” (hands off) over the voice of singer Mena, while el-Fouly mimes and dances to the camera.

The video is apparently a spoof of overly sexualised music videos.

The lyrics of the song appear to tell the story of a woman who secretly enjoys the attention of a man leering at her on public transport.

A version of the controversial video was uploaded to YouTube on 19th May and has so far been watched over 25,000 times.
