Man Tries Sneak Saw Blades Onto An Airplane In His iPad

The TSA is apparently wise to the old "tape a bunch of sharp objects to your tablet" trick.

The TSA posted this picture, taken at Dulles airport in D.C., on its Twitter account today (via Shani Hilton).

Ipads are full of metal, and jigsaw blades are made of metal, so there is a sort of logic here. But here's what an iPad looks like going through an X-ray machine:

Not a great hiding place! Even the slight machining of the Apple logo contrasts sharply against the rest of the tablet's aluminum body.

The passenger, who was likely just trying to transport some Christmas gifts home, "turned them over," says the TSA, and "made his flight."
