Five people were killed Saturday afternoon when a shooter opened fire at a home in Douglas County, Georgia.
Douglas County Sheriff's Lt. Glenn Daniel told BuzzFeed News the shooting happened around 3 p.m. in the Amber Forest subdivision. In addition to the five killed in the shooting, two others were wounded, Daniel said. WSB 2 reported that the survivors are both children.
Some of those who died were children as well, though Daniel did not say how many.
According to NBC 11, the shooting happened after an adult man parked his car up the street, then walked to a home and opened fire. Police reportedly found bodies inside and outside the home.
Daniels did not identify the man Saturday, but NBC 11 spoke with neighbors who said he was the estranged husband of the woman living at the home.
The shooter fired on himself and was taken to the hospital, where he died.
