A suicide bomber killed at least 13 people and wounded another nine Thursday during prayer time at a mosque in the southwestern Saudi Arabian city of Abha, the AP reported.
The mosque was being used by Saudi Interior Ministry special forces and 10 of those killed were members of the security forces, the ministry said in a statement.
It is believed that the suicide bomber was wearing an explosive vest and an official speaking to the AP anonymously said the bomber is believed to have been targeting police trainees.
So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Back in May there were two attacks against mosques that collectively killed 26 people. The first was at a Shiite mosque in al-Qudeeh where a suicide bomber killed 22, then a week later four people were killed when another Shiite mosque was attacked, according to the AP.
