Joe Biden Went To Iowa, Which Is A Place You Go If You Want To Run For President

He was there for a steak fry, but you know...

Vice President Joe Biden was in Iowa on Sunday.

He was there for the 36th Annual Harkin Steak Fry with Sen. Tom Harkin, but it's also the first state that will hold a primary in 2016, so you know...

Biden defended the Obama administration in a speech.

"The president and I have had a laser focus on one thing: raising up the middle class. The measure of success of our administration will be whether or not the middle class is growing and the things that allow it to grow, and allow it to feel some security, are able to be put in place again."

He also took credit for the administration's shift on marriage equality.

"I know a lot of people criticized me for speaking out not long ago about gay marriage. I could not remain silent anymore. It's the civil rights of our day."

Then Biden started holding babies.

And getting personal with the good folks of Iowa.

And snapping pics.

Sen. Harkin told the The Washington Post it would be "pretty exciting" if Biden and Hillary Clinton ran in 2016. "Oh, my gosh, that would be a real contest. That would get a lot of juices flowing."
