Here's the deal: J.K. Rowling’s website, Pottermore, was redesigned and relaunched in September last year.

After months of waiting, on Thursday the site revealed its new version of the sorting quiz.

That was great and the people cheered. But on Friday night, J.K. dropped something huge: the names and details of three all-new, never-before-seen wizarding schools.

Warner Bros.

The three schools are dispersed around the world: Mahoutokoro in Japan, Castelobruxo in Brazil, and Uagadou on the African continent.

Aside from, you know, their existence, J.K. also provided all kinds of awesome details about these new schools. Uagadou, for example, is the largest wizarding school, accepting students from all over Africa, and it specializes in wandless magic.

And the students who attend Mahoutokoro get robes their first year that grow with them and change colors based on how much they've learned.

As if that weren't enough, J.K. also revealed the name of the American school that we may learn more about in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Ilvermorny.

She's also written new histories of the other two wizarding schools, aside from Hogwarts, that we already knew about: France's Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and northern Europe's Durmstrang Institute.

According to J.K.'s write-up on wizarding schools that also debuted on the site, there are ELEVEN great wizarding schools total. For those keeping count, that still leaves four to be unveiled. We, for one, can't wait to find out where they are.
