“It is a part of my job, and it’s a completely normal part of the job. … If it was somebody else here, you probably wouldn’t be asked that question.”
@brutamerica We asked Timothée Chalamet if it was strange to kiss co-star and friend Zendaya for Dune 2. Here’s what he said…

“They literally only ask her because of Tom…people need to really get a life,” one user wrote. “They ask the question because they’re like oh what’s it like kissing people other than Tom it’s so stupid. Please just leave the poor woman alone and let her live her life.”
“When it comes to Zendaya in particular, some people tend to overlook that actors kissing on screen is just acting and doesn't carry personal meaning,” wrote another.
They continued: “The focus on her relationship with Tom and people’s fascination with it might contribute to this oversight and while her relationship with Tom is not exactly a secret it’s super private so some media outlets try to dig out anything on their relationship to capture a viral moment.”
Though he looked a little taken aback by the bizarre comment, Josh expertly brushed it off by telling the interviewer: “Oh, not awkward at all! She's great, she's brilliant, she's an amazing actor, and yeah, it was lovely to work with her.”
“I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway,” Tom told GQ in 2021, sharing that he and Zendaya “felt robbed of [their] privacy” when pictures of them kissing were published online before they’d publicly confirmed their relationship.
“The equal sentiment [we both share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own,” Zendaya said in the same interview.
