A man survived an eight-story fall from a building in downtown San Francisco, fire officials said Friday.
Just after 10 a.m. PT the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a call of a "construction worker" falling off the roof of a building at the intersection of Montgomery and California streets.
The man landed on a vehicle outside the building, crushing the car's roof.
The worker was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson said they were not sure whether the man was a window washer or construction worker, but noted the man was wearing a harness.
