The Entire Obama Family Showed Up To Greet Pope Francis At The Airport

The red carpet was quite literally rolled out for the pope's first official visit to the United States.

Pope Francis arrived in the U.S. on Tuesday, receiving a red-carpet welcome when his plane touched down at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

Hundreds of people gathered to cheer the pope, waiting eagerly for his plane to touch down. Just look how excited these nuns were. πŸ™† πŸ™† πŸ™† πŸ™†

Members of the ~Catholic crew~ were also there to give you some serious #squadgoals.

Touch down...

The pilots quickly put up the U.S. and papal flags.

Francis emerged to big cheers from the crowd.

But it was a little windy...

President Obama showed up at the airport to greet the pope as he got off the plane -- something he doesn't usually do.

In fact, the entire First Family was there, looking elegant AF πŸ‘Œ

Conversation was a little tough, though, with Obama not speaking Spanish and the Pope's English a little rusty.

Still, it looked like they were having a grand old time.

There's that damn wind again. πŸŒ€πŸ’¨

That hairflip from Sasha though.

The pope will be in the U.S. for six days, visiting Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York β€” and you can expect lots of people to turn out wherever he goes.

After greeting the crowds, Francis left the airport in the papal motorcade for the Vatican Embassy in D.C., where he's scheduled to rest after traveling from Cuba.

But, don't be so sure. Doesn't that look like the face of someone who is planning where he's hitting the town tonight?
