ICYMI, public schools across Los Angeles were ordered shut Tuesday due to an unspecified terrorist threat that officials now believe was mostly like a hoax.
On Twitter, reaction was swift.

The news struck some students harder than others.
Driving my son 2 school when we heard that the whole district is closed due to a terrorist threat. His response: "Damn. My hair's on point."

While parents felt a little different about the whole thing:

Think about all the #LAUSD students who are freaking out over having their locker searched today.
Some made fun of L.A. officials for being so cautious compared to New York City, where schools remained open despite the same threat being received there.
Wait until we tell LAPD how dangerous it is for kids walking and biking to school. They'll shut the whole city down.
