Republicans To Counter Obama In Television Spots

The air war is getting started. Ads to air in D.C., Charlotte, Norfolk, and Grand Rapids.

The Republican National Committee has placed modest television buys in Washington D.C.; Charlotte, North Carolina; Norfolk, Virginia; and Grand Rapids, Michigan for next week, a total buy of just over $20,000 that marks an early shot in a broadening advertising war.

RNC spokesman Sean Spicer wouldn't confirm the numbers, shared by a media buyer, or discuss the planned ad. The Obama campaign today also released their first ad, which is below:
