In Oakland, a group of protesters shutdown Interstate 880.
About 100 people were involved in the freeway blockage, which happened as part of a larger march through the Bay Area, according to ABC 7 News. In addition to stopping traffic, protesters also staged a die-in, among other things.

After marching through the city for several hours, protesters in New York City shutdown FDR Drive Friday night.
The shutdown happened near the Williamsburg Bridge overpass, according to CBS 2 News. Police later cleared the street and made arrests, according to reporters and witnesses at the scene.

Protesters handed out the demands to media Friday night, according to CNN. The demands called for Pantaleo and other officers involved in Eric Garner's death to be fired.
Other demands included the appointment of a special prosecutor, a law to make chokeholds illegal, and end of the "broken windows" police policy, and other things.

Images posted online showed the crowd chanting "hands up, don't shoot" as they marched through raining streets.

In New York, demonstrators Friday staged a die-in at the Fifth Avenue Apple store.
Protesters in New York City congregated at several spots in Manhattan, including Union Square and Columbus Circle, according to The New York Times. The protesters ultimately walked into the Apple store — a flagship location famous for its glass cube exterior — around 6:30 p.m. The die-in lasted for several minutes, after which the group left and continued marching down Fifth Avenue.
Protesters in Miami shut down Interstate 195 Friday evening.
The protesters reportedly marched and chanted in midtown Miami, then walked arm-in-arm onto the interstate, the Miami Herald reported.
The protest was a response to recent police killings, including Eric Garner and Michael Brown, as well as the killing of Israel "Reefa" Hernandaz Llach, according to the Herald. Llach, a graffiti artist, was killed last year after being Tased by police.
As the weekend neared, protesters around the country geared up for a third day of demonstrations Friday.
Friday's protests will come after a tumultuous two days of demonstrations that erupted after a grand jury cleared Officer Daniel Pantaleo, who killed Eric Garner with a chokehold. The epicenter of the protests Wednesday was New York City, where demonstrators marched in the streets and ultimately shutdown the Brooklyn Bridge.
Protesting continued Thursday in New York, leading to 223 arrests late that night and early Friday morning. Protests also sprung up in dozens of cities in every region of the U.S.
Protesters got an early start Friday, holding demonstrations in White Plains, New York, and Cleveland, Ohio, among other places. In Cleveland, police encouraged workers to head home early to avoid the protest.
In New York's Union Square, demonstrations also continued Friday and CNN reported that participants planned to enter area businesses.
Other protests were planned for Friday evening in New Jersey, Missouri, and other states.
About 65 people participated in a die-in Friday in White Plains, New York.
The protesters in White Plains held the die-in on a suburban street and chanted "black lives matter," among other things, the Associated Press reported.
"The comfortable white people in Westchester need to wake up and take a stand," Susan Rubin, who is white, told the AP.
