Huckabee: How Would Planned Parenthood Shooter Watch Undercover Videos If He Was A Hermit

"And he lived in a tiny hermit cabin in the mountains with no electricity, which would seem to make it hard to watch internet videos."

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said on Wednesday that it would be difficult for the alleged Planned Parenthood shooter to have watched the recent series of undercover, anti–Planned Parenthood videos because he was a hermit who lived in the mountains with no electricity.

"The police aren't talking but blogger J.E. Dyer at LibertyUnyeilding.com has combed through all the contemporaneous police calls, media updates, and social media posts; eye witnesses to piece together what we know," Huckabee said on his Huckabee Exclusive podcast on Wednesday.

"Frankly it doesn't seem to support the claim that the shooter, Robert Lewis Dear, was a conservative pro-lifer agitated by watching videos," he continued. "To begin with, his background strongly supports mental problems. He has a series of strange run ins with the police, he reportedly registered to vote as a woman and registered unaffiliated with any party. And he lived in a tiny hermit cabin in the mountains with no electricity, which would seem to make it hard to watch internet videos."

Huckabee noted, as BuzzFeed News has reported, abortion rights groups plan a major publicity offensive after the shooting.

"Plans are reportedly underway for a major publicity offensive to try to tie the murderous actions of the shooter, to the pro-life movement and the undercover expose videos of planned parenthood that they will claim incited the shooter with hatred and violence," he said. 'It's a textbook Saul Alinsky tactic: 'Never let a good tragedy go to waste."

Though the motive for shooting is still be investigated, Dear reportedly made comments about abortion and politics to police during interviews.
