Bobbi Kristina Brown "Fighting For Her Life"

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive at her home on Saturday morning, police officials said. Update: After Brown was hospitalized, doctors induced a coma.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Bobby Brown and late singer Whitney Houston, is "fighting for her life" after being found unresponsive in Atlanta on Saturday, her family said Monday.

The Roswell Police Department said in a statement that Brown's husband and a friend found her in a bathtub on Saturday morning.

"He started CPR and a police officer took over life-saving measures until an ambulance arrived," the police said.

A spokeswoman for the Roswell Police Department, Officer Lisa Holland, told the Associated Press that Brown was taken alive to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell.

Brown was reportedly revived at the hospital where doctors stabilized her breathing, according to TMZ .

Police did not immediately respond to BuzzFeed News' request for comment.

Brown was placed in a medically induced coma Saturday.

Police told CNN that Brown was placed in a medically induced coma. She was still alive, but police did not have additional information about her condition, CNN reported.

She is on a ventilator and in intensive care. Whether she has any brain damage will not be known until the sedatives are reduced, CNN reported.

Her family released a statement requesting privacy on Monday to NBC News.

"Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family," the statement read. As her father stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your support."
