Fans Are Praising Ariana Grande For Her “Refreshing” Approach To Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets” Series After She Candidly Admitted To Having Had “A Ton” Of Lip Filler And Botox

“I’ve never heard any celeb talk about getting lip filler and Botox so freely and transparently and I love it.”

Ariana Grande took part in Vogue’s popular “Beauty Secrets” video series, and here’s why fans think hers was one of the best yet.

Following in the footsteps of stars like Rihanna and the Jenner sisters, Ariana welcomed fans into her bathroom to take us through her daily skincare and makeup routine.

And while it started out like any other edition in the popular series, things got emotional when Ari opened up about how her relationship with beauty has evolved over the years, particularly since starting out in the industry as a child.

“Being exposed to so many voices at a young age, and especially when people have things to say about your appearance and stuff at a young age, it’s really hard to know what’s worth hearing or not,” she said.

She went on to admit that over the course of her career in the spotlight, she’s sometimes used makeup as a way to conceal herself for the wrong reasons.

“Over the years, I used makeup as a disguise or as something to hide behind… More and more hair. The thicker the eyeliner, the...whatever,” she said. “And that can be beautiful at times and I still have love and appreciation for it, but I think as I get older I don't love that being the intention behind it anymore.”

Now, Ariana said she considers makeup to be a part of her self-expression and about “accentuating” what she loves.

Reflecting on the “Beauty Secrets” theme of the video, Ari said: “Isn’t the secret that we all just want to feel our best and be loved?”

Next, before moving on to apply her lip product, she got candid about the cosmetic injections she’s used throughout the years, including fillers and botox.

“Full transparency… as I do my lips: I’ve had a ton of lip filler over the years and botox,” she said. “I stopped in 2018 'cause I just felt so — too much. I just felt like hiding, you know?”

“I didn't expect to get emotional,” she added, laughing nervously.

Visibly fighting tears, the singer continued: “For a long time, beauty was about hiding for me, and now I feel like maybe it’s not.”

“Since I stopped getting fillers and botox… I was just like, ‘Oh! I wanna see my well earned cry lines and smile lines.’ I hope my smile lines get deeper and deeper and I laugh more and more,” she said. “I just think aging can be such a beautiful thing.”

Throughout the video, she made sure to emphasize that she doesn’t judge anyone for having cosmetic injections or surgery — even joking that she might get a facelift herself one day in the future.

“These are just thoughts that I feel like we should be able to discuss,” she concluded. “If we’re sitting here talking about beauty secrets, fuck it. Let’s lay it all out there.”

Now, Ariana is being widely praised for her “realistic” and honest approach to the “Beauty Secrets” series, with fans showing appreciation for her vulnerability.

“I think this is the first time I have really heard her story about her life in an open honest way. I appreciate this. Thankyou Ariana for letting us know what you have gone through❤️” one person wrote in the comments section on YouTube.

“i started crying. when she started talking about beauty. beauty is so personal and so sensitive to every woman. and so real,” someone else echoed. “aging is so beautiful and so is being a woman.”

Others praised Ari for her “refreshing” vulnerability, calling her a “literal angel on earth.”

One of the main points of discussion among viewers was Ariana’s openness about her experience with cosmetic injections, noting that it’s rare for such high profile celebrities to speak so candidly about the topic.

“I’ve never heard any celeb talk about getting lip filler and Botox so freely and transparently and I love it!” one viewer commented.

“I love how she so real because a lot of celebrities say oh it just this trick instead of being up front up about procedures,” said someone else.

“I appreciate ariana for being honest and transparent about the botox and fillers she had over the years,” added another, acknowledging that it’s “not easy admitting that to the whole world.”

On top of this, another fan praised Ari for moving in closer to the camera at the start of the video to give a more “realistic” look at her skin “discoloration” and blemishes.

"I love her moving [closer] to the camera to show her skin: realistic and beautiful. Appreciate it," they wrote.
