Cold Sea Turtle Crisis

In the past week, hundreds of stunned sea turtles have been rescued from cold waters in the southern US. Things have gotten SO bad that NASA has stepped in to help out. For earlier news on the sea turtle crisis (including donation links), click here and here.

More Really Cold Turtles

Rescue workers found more than two hundred stunned sea turtles in St. Joseph Bay today. This is in addition to dozens of sea turtles already suffering from the sudden cold snap in the southern US. Most aquariums and research centers are only able to take a handful of turtles and need help.

Really Cold Sea Turtles

Unseasonable cold weather has endangered the lives of dozens of sea turtles in the southern US. Thankfully, there are rescue teams in various states working to save them. See more video footage from Florida here. If you can spare a dime, the turtles will appreciate it.
