Turf Dancing

I caught wind of this watching the news this evening. Originating in Oakland, turf dancing is a new expression of hope in troubled streets. This video is in memory of one of the dancers' brothers, who was gunned down on the street the night before. The dancers are incredible, and the message is uplifting.

The Best Old-School Computer Games

Growing up with 4 brothers meant that video games were a staple in our household. Most notably was our fascination with computer games, and it was not uncommon to find us glued to the screen at all hours of the evening (after the homework was done, of course!). Do you remember your favorites from your childhood? Post 'em below!

Angry Birds Christmas!!!!

Dangit, I haven't even gotten three stars on all of the Halloween levels yet! Angry Birds Christmas is coming out soon as an update to the Halloween game, and I think I speak for many when I say, WOOHOO! Can't wrap presents now, I have some Santa-hat-clad pigs to destroy!

Dogs Vs Cats

A funny comic that continues to explore the relationship that dogs and cats have with their humans. For anyone that owns a cat, check out the whole blog here. You will, no doubt, relate.

Airtoons Make Flying Fun Again!

The TSA may have robbed us of our Fourth Amendment rights, but they can't take away our sense of humor. Luckily for us all, Airtoons presents these hilarious takes on airplane safety cards. Check out the whole collection here!

Finding Weird Things in Packaged Food

Last weekend, I had a craving for those tasty squishy treats known as Gummy Lifesavers, and bought a bag. Imagine my surprise when I reached in and pulled out a gummy mummy. It got me to thinking, what other types of weird things have people found in their pre-packaged bags of food? And thus, my Google search began.

Mark Your Calendars: December 11th is Angry Birds Day

To be honest, I'm not even really sure what this means, but I still like it. Apparently there is going to be a big celebration to commemorate the one year anniversary of Angry Birds' existence both on our Apple devices and in our hearts. You can register your equally-as-obsessed friends and you to join in a local chapter's Angry Birds gathering where you all can talk about... you know... Angry Birds and stuff. Hmmm... why am I envisioning a crowded space where people are playing Angry Birds and not actually talking to one another? Oh right, because that is exactly how my Metro commute looks every morning.

This is Legitimately Frightening.

Just when I thought people were finally realizing just how creepy it is that the current fictional heart-throb of the pop culture world, Edward Cullen, watches his beloved while she sleeps, I had to see this. Do people really decorate their houses with this kind of thing? If I saw this, I'd be out of there faster than a [insert a terrible vampire pun here]. Image spotted here.

Tasmanian Kitty

Yesterday, my brother's cats got into a wrestling match just as I was snapping a picture of them with my iphone. I was surprised to see that the camera had warped the cats into a one-pawed, one-faced, Tasmanian-Devil-esque tornado.

Those Crazy Palins!

You'd think that if your mom was as famous as Willow's and Bristol's, you'd know when to keep your mouth shut on facebook, since it's bound to end up in the Huffington Post at some point. But alas, their mom was off busily promoting her Alaska show, and we get to reap all the benefits.

Celebrity Holiday Party: Photoshop At Its Best

Every year, this guy and his wife host a holiday party. And every year, they photoshop celebrities into the pictures to make it look like their humble holiday gathering is actually a star-studded hollywood hangout. Very enjoyable to scroll through - and in most cases, very convincing! See all the images here. Thanks Urlesque!
