WASHINGTON — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal criticized President Barack Obama's handling of the efforts to avert the mandatory spending cuts known as sequestration Monday after meeting with the president.
Speaking from outside the West Wing, Jindal told reporters that "the president needs to stop campaigning, stop trying to scare people."
He added that Obama has an "insatiable appetite" for tax hikes.
Jindal, the chairman of the Republican Governors Association and a likely 2016 hopeful, met with Obama along with other members of the National Governors Association.
Criticizing the president after meetings is not unusual — doing it from the White House grounds is.
