Michelle Obama lifted a more than 40-year-old ban on cameras and photos during public tours of the White House on Tuesday.
Visitors touring the White House can take photos and "keep those memories for a lifetime," the White House said in a statement.
The White House also encouraged visitors to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #WhiteHouseTour.
However, "camera sticks" are not permitted during the tour. Neither is livestreaming, talking or texting on cellphones.
