This 6-Year-Old Chopped Off Nearly Two Feet Of Her "Rapunzel" Hair For Children With Cancer

Charlie Tillotson is a hero.

This is 6-year-old Charlie Tillotson, from Devon, England. Charlie always wanted to grow her hair as long as Rapunzel and vowed never to cut it.

But after watching a television documentary about children suffering from cancer, Charlie decided to help them by cutting off all of her super-long hair to raise money and make a wig.

Steve then started a fundraising page for Charlie, who was hoping to raise £600 ($1,000) for Children With Cancer UK.

This month, a family friend cut off almost all of Charlie's long, golden hair at a salon packed with the little girl's supporters and fans.

This was Charlie's first haircut in years. Her dad said at first she wanted to cut off all two feet of her hair, but he talked her out of it.

The Little Princess Trust will send Charlie's hair to China to be made into a wig that will be donated to a child with cancer in the U.K.

While Charlie is still getting used to her short hair, people from the community are sending her flowers and chocolates for her generosity, the Sidmouth Herald reports.
