These Are The 55 Schools Facing A U.S. Federal Sexual Assault Probe

Princeton, Harvard Law School, and Dartmouth are among the 55 colleges and universities under federal investigation for mishandling sexual abuse claims.

On Thursday, May 1, the Department of Education released the list of 55 colleges and universities currently facing a Title IX investigation over their handling of sexual abuse complaints.

In a press release, the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Catherine E. Lhamon said, "We are making this list available in an effort to bring more transparency to our enforcement work and to foster better public awareness of civil rights. We hope this increased transparency will spur community dialogue about this important issue."

These are the 55 schools facing a federal probe:
