Unless you're ~seriously disturbed~, you're probably VERY excited for the third installment of Legally Blonde, set to release in 2020.
Reese Witherspoon officially confirmed that Legally Blonde 3 was happening back in June. And since then, we haven't heard many (aka ANY) details about the new movie.
UNTIL NOW! Yesterday, Reese gave an interview to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of her docuseries Shine On with Reese. And in the interview, Reese gave a teeny little sneak peek into Legally Blonde 3.
“Oh, it’s gonna be so fun!” Reese said. “I got to go to a meeting the other day where we talked about all the new plot points and all the characters and some returning characters and some new characters."
"I mean, I got so excited just in the meeting. I was like, ‘This is gonna be good.’”
But when the interviewer tried to get more specific about what Elle Woods will be doing in the movie, Reese refused to budge.
"I can't tell you...but you tried!"
Okay. So. A mix of old and new characters??? Who do we think will return? Personally, I'm gonna need Jennifer Coolidge and the hunky UPS guy back for SURE.
Also, Luke Wilson better be there, because I cannot handle the idea of Elle Woods like, getting divorced or something.
Selma Blair skipped Legally Blonde 2, but I for one would really like to see what Vivian Kensington is up to in the modern day.
As for Elle Woods? Well, Reese might be keeping her storyline a secret, but here's MY theory. As you SURELY remember, Legally Blonde 2 ends with Elle Woods winking as she drives by the White House...
...and the movie is set to release in 2020, which happens to be the year of our next presidential election...
