Sen. Lindsey Graham Says He's Never Sent An Email

"I don't know what that makes me," Graham said on Meet the Press.

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday that he will never face a scandal like the one plaguing Hillary Clinton because he has never sent an email.

The South Carolina lawmaker told NBC's Chuck Todd on Meet the Press that he does not have a private email address because he doesn't send emails.

"You can have every email I've ever sent. I've never sent one," Graham said.

After a befuddled laugh from Todd, Graham added, "I don't know what that makes me..."

A Graham spokesman confirmed to BuzzFeed News that Graham doesn't have a personal or work email address that he uses himself. He does have one that his staff uses for scheduling.

Graham uses his cell phone and text messages to communicate, the spokesman said, calling him "very accessible."

"(Graham) prefers to actually speak with people," he said.

Many people on Twitter were perplexed about how anyone in 2015, let alone a public official, could not have ever sent an email.

This idea that Lindsey Graham has never sent an email, is amazing. How can people like this run our government. It is wild.

I'm still digesting one of the odder 'takeaways' from US talk shows - Sen Lindsey Graham has never (ever) sent an email

It's so weird that Lindsey Graham has never written an email (or so he says). Can we have a president who doesn't live in present day?

Although some people are jealous.

I think we can all agree on one thing: @LindseyGrahamSC is living the dream.

Graham doesn't shun the modern world entirely though, as he has a relatively active Twitter account.

.@SenatorTimScott and I great time meeting with South Carolinians in DC today for the #MarchforLife2015.

Taking a few minutes this morning to watch @TGowdySC and the House Select Committee on #Benghazi.

Graham was appearing on the show to discuss the controversy surrounding Clinton's use of a private email server while she was serving as secretary of state.

Graham said that he wants Clinton's emails to be checked for references to her foundation.

He also wants to see what Clinton was saying privately about Benghazi in the hours and days after the terror attack.
