On Thursday morning, singer-songwriter Ryan Adams posted a very exciting picture to his social media accounts.
The picture read, "Taylor Swift 1989 full album cover night 1. As played by the Smiths."
Naturally, everyone wondered if Adams really is recording an entire Swift cover album. He assured fans it was real by posting more photos from the session, like this one featuring lyrics from Swift's "Blank Space."
And promised fans his cover of "Welcome to New York" will be the "saddest ever."
Fans were super excited.
And said they couldn't wait to hear his covers.
But one fan was REALLY stoked — Swift herself. She asked Adams on Twitter if the rumor was true after seeing tweets about it, writing, "I WILL PASS OUT."
She got a immediate response from Adams saying it was true, and complimenting her on her "badass tunes."
She felt the way we all do. "Cool I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight or ever again and I'm going to celebrate today every year as a holiday. I'M CALM."
Adams even shared a clip of his version of "Welcome to New York," and it's amazing.
