People Are Comparing The Glitches At The NYSE To Every Movie Ever

Aren't you all so creative.

On Wednesday, both United Airlines and the New York Stock Exchange had their services disrupted due to technical glitches. The Wall Street Journal's homepage also temporarily went down.

Technical issue at the @NYSE, trading suspended! (@SquawkStreet @CNBC)

But as people on Wall Street waited for trading to resume, people on Twitter took the time to make every movie reference ever.

Like every reference. Even this classic Angelina Jolie film Hackers from 1995.

Authorities have released a photo of the suspects in the NYSE closure. If you see them, please call the police.

Of course, everyone immediately had to make that Batman joke.

dont panic, but this is nypd hq right now. #nyse

Bane's probably behind this.

Update: Authorities seek this man for questioning: #NYSE

And the situation brought to mind a classic scene from Airplane.

@NYSE has temporarily halted trading. @WSJ web site down. @united systems crashed. And we're out of coffee.

Maybe the guys from Trading Places are responsible?

Are we sure the #NYSE thing isn't these guys? Be sure to closely monitor frozen orange juice concentrate...

It's possible we are all succumbing to Skynet.

"Nothing to see here," said an unidentified source at Skynet. https://t.co/t0JxBkMTbz @bernielubell @united @NYSE @PeteWilliamsNBC

This would all be better if George Clooney and Brad Pitt were behind it, like in Oceans 11, tbh.

(Inside #NYSE Vault) "Alright, you proved your point. You broke into my vault. Congratulations, you're a dead man."

Or this version of Brad.

"Project Mayhem step 1: complete..." #NYSE

Other people took the opportunity to make fun of the NYSE for its technology.

We've all been here.

But if you're worried, don't be. We can all learn a thing or two from this guy.
