A Woman Found A Snake Frozen To Death On Her Windshield

That's a chilling way to end your day.

After an unusually warm end to 2015, people on the East Coast are experiencing a chilly start to the new year.

Temperatures fell to as much as 15 degrees below average from Georgia to New York on Tuesday, The Weather Channel reported.

And people were feeling the chill.

In fact it was so cold, that one New York City news anchor got a creepy start to her New Year.

Yes, that is a snake frozen solid onto a windshield. The unlucky driver was WABC traffic reporter Heather O'Rourke, who posted the photo of her unwelcome passenger to her Facebook page.

O'Rourke wrote that she didn't want to touch the carcass, so she just drove with it for a while.

"As I was driving my daughter's swim team car pool last night, I realized that there was a snake frozen to my windshield," she posted. "Take a good look! Yes, I drove to and from practice with this thing on my windshield, I wasn't going to scrap that off! Ew."

She did have some humor about it, invoking the classic film Snakes on a Plane.

"Snake on my windshield," she wrote. 'And @SamuelLJackson was on LIVE with Kelly and Michael yesterday -- too bad he wasn't around today to see this."

That's one chilling end to the day.
