Sparrow Users Want Their Money Back
This question always seems to come up when one of the big companies buys a little one.
Congrats to Sparrow for having their beloved Mac/iOS mail client bought by Google! This is probably great news for Sparrow developers, but users aren't very happy — especially since the app won't be getting any future updates.
They may be looking in the wrong place, however. This guy contacted Apple and got a refund directly from them:
This guy bought it over 60 days ago, so he was only given iTunes credit:
Are we allowed to expect refunds if a company gets bought and its app gets put out to pasture? What's the statute of limitations? Who is even responsible for the refund? I happened to buy it last week because they had it on sale for half price (conspiracies, anyone?), so I can sympathize.
