This Is The Adorable Resignation Letter A Police Dog Named Kojack Received On His Last Week Of Duty

"This letter authorizes you to keep your house, kennel, squeaky toys, greenies, and rope toys."

This is K-9 Officer Kojack's retirement letter. He was issued this official and wonderful document on Wednesday, according to his human partner.

Kojack's partner, who wished to remain anonymous, shared Kojack's story on Reddit Friday and posted these photos of him.

Kojack's partner, and now current owner, spoke to BuzzFeed about the dog's retirement. He said it was a pretty emotional moment.

"I'm not going to lie, I might have cried just a little right then," Kojack's partner said.

Kojack was a bomb-sniffing dog who was beginning to have some health issues that were making it difficult for him to move. It was tough work, his partner said, but the two of them loved every minute of it.

"The dogs get tired or cranky or hungry or sick, just like anyone," he said. "As far as working with him day-to-day, it was the best time of my life."
