Strangers Came Together On The Side Of A Highway To Help A Woman Give CPR To Her Infant Nephew

Incredible photos of the whole event were captured by a local news photographer who happened to pull over to help.

Pamela Rauseo pulled to the side of Florida state road 836 Thursday afternoon and performed CPR on her 5-month-old nephew Sebastian.

These incredible photos were taken by Al Diaz, a photographer for the Miami Herald, who happened to be on the road at the same time.

The officer, Amauris Bastidasy, and Lucila Godoy, another motorist who came over to help, worked together. Sebastian start breathing, and then stopped again shortly after.

By that point, thankfully, paramedics had arrived on the scene and were able to stabilize Sebastian's breathing and brought him to a nearby hospital.

According to Rauseo, Sebastian was born prematurely and has suffered from breathing issues in the past.

“As a photojournalist you want to capture these images, but as a human being you want to get help,” Diaz told the Daily News about his decision to put down the camera and run for help.
