The Sparks Police Department confirmed Monday that two people have died, including the gunman, and that two students have been hospitalized after a shooting at Sparks Middle School this morning.

Many of the details are still unclear, but the first 911 call was made at 7:16 a.m. local time. Gunfire was reported inside a classroom right before classes for the day started.

Students began posting on Twitter about eighth-grade math teacher Michael Landsberry being wounded. It's still unclear, however, if Landsberry was shot and, if he was, what condition he is in.

The school was put into lockdown and students were then evacuated after police "neutralized" the shooter. It is unclear what condition the shooter is in.

Additional details about the gunman, including a possible motive, are still unknown. Siobhan McAndrew, a reporter for the Reno Gazette-Journal, said students heard the shooter yelling before he started firing:

Police confirmed that a teacher was one of the ones shot and killed this morning, though they have yet to name the victim. Students on Twitter already have begun mourning on Twitter, believe it was Landsberry.
