This sign was spotted outside of Minibar in Austin, Texas, this week. A photo of it quickly went viral on Facebook with people furious about the attempted joke.
Minibar said the person responsible for the sign was fired.
The management also decided to donate $1 from every domestic beer to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Comments on the page show a split in opinion, with many applauding the bar's swift response to the outrage. Other, however, think firing the employee was too extreme.
The woman who originally posted the image also recently commented on the page. She explained that she didn't expect the image to travel so far, but that it obviously caused a strong reaction for a reason.
