She accompanied the video with this description: "My 87-year-old mother with Alzheimer's knew who I was, even if just for a moment."

Gunderson, from Georgia, initially shared the video of her 87 year old mother on her Facebook page. This sweet GIF made from the video then went viral on Imgur.

People with Alzheimer's disease, which is the most common form of dementia, can experience memory loss and difficulties with thinking, language and problem solving. Sadly, the disease has no known cure.
