Everything hunky-dory between Santorum and Fischer, who has denied that AIDS develops from HIV and compared President Obama to Adolf Hitler.

Rick Santorum appeared on American Family Association executive Bryan Fischer's talk show "Focal Point" yesterday to discuss the presidential race. Fischer is perhaps the furthest right of the social conservative leaders who participate in the Republican mainstream, and holds controversial views on gays, Muslims, women, and a number of other hot-button issues. His opinions on Mormons led Mitt Romney to publicly distance himself from him at the Values Voters Summit, telling the audience that "One of the speakers who will follow me today has crossed that line, I think. Poisonous language doesn't advance our cause."

Unlike Romney, Santorum's attitude towards Fischer is congenial. Fischer is a Santorum fan and told the former senator that his wife was early to the Santorum bandwagon.

Fischer has also suggested that gays and lesbians are responsible for the Holocaust, and said that President Obama “wants Indian tribes to be our new overlords."
