Paul's Vegas Pitch: "Stop Taxing Tips"

State-tailored pandering isn't just for Newt.

In an unusually normal campaign move, Ron Paul writes in a guest

op-ed for the Las Vegas Sun today that the government should get its hands off service-workers' tips:

That’s why it’s an outrage that waiters, waitresses and
other service-sector employees have to pay taxes on the tips they
earn. And to add insult to injury, the IRS makes an estimate of how
much service-sector workers will make in tips and taxes them on it
even if the taxpayer did not actually earn as much as the IRS
estimate!

This is a serious problem that must be addressed, but I’m the only
candidate running for president who is working hard to fix this
problem.

Paul ends by promising to end taxation on tips for good.

This isn't the Paul campaign's first outreach effort to Nevada's huge

hospitality industry. The campaign sent out a press blast a few days

ago announcing new "Hospitality Workers for Ron Paul’ Nationwide

Coalition Members."
