Anna Wintour's "Runway to Win" fundraising campaign for the Obama re-election campaign has taken flak as an elitist gesture, featuring items from designers whose wares regularly run for thousands of dollars.
But one thing is more expensive than any of the "Runway" products: a Rick Santorum-branded sweater vest.
Wintour has brought on designers like Narciso Rodriguez and Vera Wang to design Obama merchandise, the profits of which will go to the campaign. The RNC in turn has knocked the initiative, releasing a video highlighting the prices of all the items:
None of Runway to Win clothes cost as much as a Rick Santorum sweater vest, which can be had for $100. The most expensive Runway to Win item is a $95 Thakoon scarf.
