The Israeli Embassy in Dublin, Ireland, posted a Christmas message on its Facebook page on Monday depicting Jesus and the Virgin Mary along with a "thought for Christmas":
"If Jesus and mother Mary were alive today, they would, as Jews without security, probably end up being lynched in Bethlehem by hostile Palestinians.
Just a thought…...."

Update: A spokesman for the embassy told BuzzFeed that the post was a "total misunderstanding" and had been taken down.
