The big news this afternoon — Keith Olbermann's firing from Current TV — looked at first like it was about to be broken by Politico media reporter Keach Hagey, who announced that she had a scoop coming on Twitter. Brian Stelter, tagged in Hagey's tweet, retweeted her.
And then scooped the Olbermann story two minutes later.
Today's moral: invoke @brianstelter's name and he WILL scoop your story. That's one of the craziest things I've ever seen.
