This Gay Scottish Teenager Has Delivered The Ultimate Smackdown To The Westboro Baptist Church

Her mother said: “Rebecca, a lesbian, wanted to make a stand for gay rights and to invite the world to recognise the hypocrisy and hatred that WBC proclaim.”

Last month the much-reviled Westboro Baptist Church released a homophobic parody of Panic! At the Disco’s "I Write Sins, Not Tragedies".

And Scottish teenager Rebecca Anderson was so repulsed by the song she decided to make her own version.

Here are her lyrics in full:

Oh, well imagine,

I'm hearing the views of a church that hates gays,

And I can't help but to think,

That their view on sexuality is just absurd

"God hates fags! Burn in hell!"

"God hates fags! Burn in hell!"

Says a pastor to the crowd,

But what a shame,

What a shame, because this church should be abhorred

I'd chime in with a

"Haven't you people ever hated Westboro Baptist Church?!"

Oh, think over things you preach about the gays,

With a sense of poise and rationality,

I'd chime in

"Stop spreading homophobic hatred. Obeying the word of God?"

No, your teachings are so hypocritical,

It makes no sense at all…

Oh, well in fact,

Well, I'll look at it this way ,

I mean, half your church is probably gay,

Well, this calls for a toast so,

There is no shame.

Oh, well in fact,

If you came out and joined us,

Then we'd probably just celebrate,

So this calls for a toast,

Pour the champagne,

Pour the champagne

I'd chime in with a

"Haven't you people ever hated Westboro Baptist Church?!"

Oh, think over things you preach about the gays,

With a sense of poise and rationality,

I'd chime in

"Stop spreading homophobic hatred. Obeying the word of God?"

No, your teachings are so hypocritical,

It makes no sense at all…

Accept all sexualities

Again

Rebecca you are a superstar.
