More Disturbing Photoshopped Ads Urging CoverGirl To Stop Sponsoring The NFL

Each picture in the project represents a team that employs players with a domestic violence record.

Recently, this Photoshopped image of an ad from CoverGirl, a sponsor of the NFL, went viral, and the adjoining hashtag #CoverGirlCOTT began to trend.

Here are the newly Photoshopped pictures, and their captions:

Minnesota Vikings

"This team has seen two arrests of players for domestic violence on Roger Goodell's watch. On Oct. 25, 2011, cornerback Chris Cook was charged with felony strangulation of girlfriend. Was later acquitted although police found the victim with a bloody nose & hemorrhaging eye, via reporting by ESPN. NFL punishment: NOT MUCH. Suspension for rest of season; currently plays for the 49ers."

Dallas Cowboys

"On July 16, 2012, Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was arrested for assaulting his mother, and charged with a Class A misdemeanor for assault with bodily injury, according to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram. He reportedly tore Angela Bryant's shirt and bra, and smacked her hands and wrists as she tried to fend him off. NFL punishment: NONE."

Green Bay Packers

"This team has seen two arrests of players for domestic violence on Roger Goodell's watch, and a sexual assault investigation. On Nov. 25, 2011, Packers linebacker Eric Walden was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, who was treated at an area hospital for a head injury. He pleaded no contest and received a deferred sentence that allowed him to continue playing for the rest of the season. NFL punishment: NONE."

Denver Broncos

"Your team is ranked #1 in the Domestic Violence Derby that has characterized Roger Goodell's tenure as NFL commish, with a total of 10 arrests — seven for violence and three for intimidation. Only one player among them, Kevin Alexander, was released by the team after his arrest. The rest received either minimal or NO PUNISHMENT from the NFL."

San Francisco 49ers

"On Aug. 31, 49ers defensive end Ray McDonald was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence for attacking his fiancée, who was reportedly 10 weeks pregnant at the time, according to the Sacramento Bee. NFL punishment: NONE."

Seattle Seahawks

"This team has seen three players arrested for violence against women on Roger Goodell's watch. On Jan. 20, 2013, linebacker Leroy Hill was arrested after he 'allegedly threw his girlfriend across the room, stood on her chest, struck her with a bottle and kept her from leaving' the house where the incident took place, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. NFL punishment: NONE."

Carolina Panthers

"In July defensive end Greg Hardy was convicted for assaulting and threatening his girlfriend, according to ESPN. The woman testified that Hardy 'choked her, dragged her by her hair from a bathtub and threw her on a futon with several guns on it,' according to Michael Tomsic, reporting for NPR. NFL punishment: NONE (took voluntary leave while appealing his conviction)."

Arizona Cardinals

"On May 3, 2013, Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington was arrested for shoving his ex-girlfriend (and the mother of his child) on to pavement, breaking her collarbone. The woman claimed, according to ESPN, that he grabbed her by the throat before pushing her down. NFL punishment: NONE."

MacFadyen said that her goal is for the pictures to shock female NFL fans into activism.

"I hope they open female NFL fans eyes to the fact that we have the power to make the NFL owners take action and get rid of the leadership that has led the league astray on this issue," she said.

Stan added, "I hope the pictures are just jarring enough to spur women who are NFL fans, or who just love make-up and fashion (as I do), to raise their voices and demand the ouster of Goodell, and the appointment of a commissioner who gets it. (I nominate Oprah.)"
